Thank you for your interest in events! The enrollment for the online Fall 2025 Unburdened Eating Intensive is full. We are currently planning a Winter online intensive, tentatively scheduled for early February 2026. The format for this workshop will differ slightly from the Fall intensive and will take place over a weekend online. If you are interested in being included, please join the waitlist.
Across two days, you’ll deepen IFS theory and practice. See IFS in action—then apply some techniques Monday morning Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based therapeutic model that conceptualizes the mind as a system of “parts,” each with distinct emotional roles, beliefs, and protective strategies. The model also identifies a core Self that can guide internal interactions with clarity and compassion. This workshop provides an introduction to the theoretical foundations of IFS and its application in clinical settings.
This workshop is designed for therapists with varying levels of IFS experience, from those familiar with the basics to more seasoned IFS practitioners, who have trouble when clients resist, have particularly difficult parts, or when it comes to using the model with couples or larger systems. We will begin with an overview of IFS and then move on to the deeper exploration of issues that arise during treatment. This course will also provide the opportunity for participants to identify and work with the parts of themselves that interfere in their relationships with clients. The workshop will be a balance of lectures, demonstration, and experiential exercises.
Join Jeanne for an immersive, practice-focused workshop designed to strengthen clinicians’ confidence and competence in treating disordered eating and eating disorders using an IFS lens. Through a blend of didactic teaching, guided exploration, clinical videos, and live demonstrations, Jeanne will help participants develop increased clarity about how to navigate clients’ food and body concerns to heal underlying wounds.

This 90-minute live consultation introduces an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach to working with eating-related concerns, with emphasis on identifying and addressing clinicians’ own internal responses (e.g., fear, avoidance, bias) that affect treatment. Through guided reflection and case-based discussion, participants will identify internal and external factors that constrain access to Self-energy and apply IFS-informed interventions to support more consistently Self-led, attuned, and effective care.
